More about Olivia:

I am an absolutely beautiful lady!! I am low-maintenance, so no need to worry about a velcro-cat with me. I am happy to do my thing, and will let everyone know when I want attention. In the meantime, just enjoy my gorgeousness!

I have a history of inappropriate elimination, and will be most successful in an adoptive home that is relatively low-traffic and in which I will be the only pet. Young kids in my previous home really exacerbated this, so a home with calm teenagers or older will be best for me.

I should have a slow transition to my new home, starting in one room where I can decompress after my transition out of my shelter stay. My adopter should be comfortable with keeping me confined for as long as it takes for me to be displaying calm, confident, affiliative body language and be using my litter box 100% reliably for several days in a row. My adopter should plan for no less than two weeks, but it could take longer for me to settle in. Once I am ready to more beyond the initial confinement space, my adopter should be prepared to give slow/incremental access to the rest of the home. This may involve small outings into the rest of the house with most doors closed, or simply allowing for access to one additional room at a time over the course of a few weeks or longer.

The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.

Compatibility:
Cats: No thank you! I will do best as the only pet in the home. The smallest amount of variables, the better!
Dogs: No thank you! I am a pretty sensitive girl, and the stress of a dog in my previous home was likely contributing to my not using my litter box.
Kids: Teens and up! My not using the litter box started after a baby joined the home. Young kids will probably be an additional stressor to me.
