Meet Jack
MY ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED JULY 15 – 21 AS PART OF THE MASS SAVES ADOPTATHON!!
We are looking for really special families for these dogs, as their life up to this point has been anything but normal and theyre going to need experienced, dedicated people to help them catch up on all the experiences that they have missed! Below you can find some guidelines for what type of adopters were looking for so you can decide whether to come in to adopt!
The first thing we know is that these pups have no experience walking on leash, nor have they seen most of the world. Families will need to be able to provide a secure outdoor space at home that wont rely on leash walks initially for their exercise and potty breaks. Keeping their worlds small to start will help them get comfortable and adjust.
Very young kids are likely to be too overwhelming for most of these dogs, but we know every child is an individual. Some of these pups can live with kids who are able to give the dogs the space they need to adjust. Toddlers or kids who have a hard time giving space will likely be too much for them.
Lastly and most importantly, we are looking for families who are patient and dedicated. These dogs have a long road ahead of them with house training, leash walking and just general life but they have so much love to give. We are looking for folks who are ready to step up and put in a lot of work to get them where they need to be.
Please come with all your patience and understanding. Our small staff has been working tirelessly to care for these dogs and with so much interest, we expect that there will be a considerable wait for many people. Please know were doing our best to move quickly while also making the animals well-being a priority! The dogs will not be available for general viewing, as our kennels are closed to walk through traffic to reduce their stress. We will have more dogs available in the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned here for updates on those!
